Job Description
Starting Pay: $16 - $18.50 per hour, DOE (Full pay scale is $16-$22)
Description: Horizon Project is a non-profit that helps adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) support adults with IDD in their homes and on community outings. As a DSP, you’ll provide direct care to clients living in 24/7 group homes and in supported living apartments. Our goal is to make sure our clients are safe, healthy, and fulfilled. DSPs also help the clients go on community outings like the county fair, Pendleton Round Up, or concerts. Make a difference in someone's life today!
Part-Time Work Schedule:
- variable hours Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Average about 8-29 hrs per week (may vary)
- Shifts available 27/4
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Client medication administration
- Basic house cleaning
- Provide personalized care designed to meet each client's needs
- Assist with client financials and petty cash
- Help the client bathe, go to the bathroom, and brush their teeth
- Cooking, cleaning, and laundry
- Use a computer to complete daily documentation
- Go with clients to the store, museum, library, county fair, or music concerts, etc.

- Must pass a pre-employment drug test

- Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record (for client transportation in company vehicle)
- Must be available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
