Your work will directly contribute to strengthening modern, technology-enabled operations.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and coordinate business analysis activities across significant ICT and business transformation initiatives
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to identify needs, define objectives, and secure alignment on priorities and outcomes
  • Analyse complex business and ICT problems and recommend structured, evidence-based solutions
  • Develop business requirements, use cases, user stories, and ensure full traceability through delivery and testing
  • Design and support business process modelling, testing, usability evaluation, and validation activities
  • Evaluate existing processes, systems, policies, and strategies to identify improvement opportunities
  • Advise on appropriate business analysis techniques, tools, and methodologies across projects
  • Support business trials, confidence testing, and solution validation activities
  • Act as a key liaison between executive stakeholders and operational teams to ensure clear communication and alignment
  • Contribute to mentoring, knowledge sharing, and capability uplift across teams
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale ICT or government environments
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, including requirements elicitation, modelling, and validation
  • Experience with BPMN process modelling or equivalent standards
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Experience developing user stories, use cases, and end-to-end traceability documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in complex or ambiguous environments
  • Ability to assess business processes and recommend practical, high-impact improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity
  • Experience supporting testing activities such as UAT, business trials, or solution validation
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within small and collaborative teams
  • Australian Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance
Benefits:
  • Competitive contract engagement (12-month initial term with potential extension)
  • Hybrid working arrangement with flexibility where approved
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact national-level ICT and transformation initiatives
  • Exposure to complex enterprise systems and senior stakeholder environments
  • Professional development and capability-building opportunities
  • Collaborative and mission-driven public sector environment
  • Work-life balance supported through flexible arrangements (subject to approval)
