Medical Director - Psychiatry
Location: Bedford, MA
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Medical Director - Psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership across behavioral health programs, including PACT and outpatient services. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine direct patient care with leadership, program development, and strategic oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Patient Care

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management

  • Provide consultation for complex and crisis cases

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care

Supervision & Team Leadership

  • Supervise psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other prescribers

  • Support staff development and conduct performance evaluations

  • Serve as clinical co-lead for multidisciplinary teams

Program Development & Strategy

  • Collaborate with leadership to design and expand clinical programs

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and treatment protocols

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Collaboration & Operations

  • Maintain adequate psychiatric coverage across programs

  • Participate in committees, trainings, and organizational initiatives

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Board Certified in Psychiatry

  • Active, unrestricted Massachusetts medical license

  • Valid DEA and Controlled Substances Registration

  • Proven experience in psychiatric care and clinical leadership

  • Proficiency with electronic health records
