Under the direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, oversees and directs the daily operation of the Radiology department in Diagnostic Imaging. Operates x-ray equipment to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years directly related experience
- Associates Degree
- MIRT License
- ARRT registered
- CPR certified within 90 days of hire
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Supervisory experience
Responsibilities:
1. Meets all requirements of a staff Radiology technologist.
2. Plans and schedules work for assigned area ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate staffing coverage, space and facilities for performance of duties of technologists and other staff in the department.
3. Integrates and coordinates delivery of the Departmental services with the other departments within the hospital.
4. Is responsible for the procurement, storage and routing of supplies.
5. Oversees and assists, when necessary, in the performance of diagnostic procedures performed by the staff.
6. Works with the supervising Radiologist and Manager to create protocols and to monitor the technical quality of all exams.
7. Assists in department service recovery efforts with internal and external customers.
8. Will be a subject matter expert (SME) for PACS/EHR and other department specific systems.
9. Provides feedback to the department Manager and Director regarding equipment purchasing and budgets.
10. Assist Manager with other duties as necessary.
