Position Summary:
The Casino Dealer role is an ideal entry-level opportunity for individuals keen to learn the ropes of dealing different table games. Dealers are responsible for mastering various games including blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, and other games offered at Fortune Bay Resort Casino, all under the guidance of licensed dealers or trainers. Dealers will gain valuable insights into casino operations, learn to handle chips, place bets, and interact with customers. Exceptional communication, customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment are key to excelling in this role.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
The Dealer is responsible for the following duties:
- Attend training sessions. Trainees are required to attend training sessions where they will learn the rules and procedures for dealing various table games. They will also learn how to handle chips, cards, and other gaming equipment.
- Learn about the Company’s guest service standards, departmental SOP’s and compliance requirements.
- Complete an audition at the end of training.

Qualifications – Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to pass a background check to obtain a gaming license is required before employment.
- Ability to practice and improve dealing skills through simulation exercises with other trainees.
- Strict adherence to all gaming regulations and company policies for fair and secure gaming activities.
- Capability to learn from experienced licensed dealers by shadowing them and observing their techniques in dealing cards, managing bets, and interacting with customers.
- Alertness to identify and report any concerns or issues to a supervisor or licensed dealer.
- Completion of at least 60 hours of training and passing of a table games audition with a score of 90% or higher.
Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and requires overall good mental and physical health.
Physical Demands:
Job-specific abilities and requirements include:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Must have good hand and eye coordination.
Ability to bend and twist back repeatedly
Ability to perform repetitive motion from use of a computer.
Good vision with or without corrective lenses.
Manual dexterity.
Ability to tolerate various scents, noises, and bright lights.
Preference:
