POSITION SUMMARY
  • Reports To:
    • EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, NURSING & OPS
  • Summary:
    • The Administrative Assistant is responsible to provide administrative support to the Medical Staff team.
  • Work Schedule:
    • Standard Work Schedule. Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Education
    • Associates degree in business, healthcare or related field preferred.
  • Experience
    • Experience in project management, accounting, finance, and/or Admin preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience required.
  • Computer Skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.

    • N/A
  • Other Requirements
    • Must have organizational and time management skills. You must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize in a fast-paced environment. This role will be involved in handling confidential documents and information. This position requires constant sitting, handling, and use of fingers.
  • Essential Functions
      • Provides administrative support for the executive team and members as assigned.
      • Writes or prepares reports, memos, contracts, policy/procedures, and other documents utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, databases, scanning and presentation software.
      • Organizes and schedules meetings, reviews incoming messages to determine their significance, processes invoices, prepares and distributes agendas for board and medical staff meetings, writes meeting minutes, conducts research, prepares correspondence, and trains other staff.
      • Performs general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing general clerical work.
      • Maintains discretion and confidentiality in relationships with all leadership and staff.
      • Provides Policy Manager support.
      • Directs calls and visitors appropriately.
      • Handles incoming and outgoing mail for the department.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.
