Job Description
Field Operations & Crew Management
• Oversee all day-to-day field operations at assigned project sites, including blade processing, civil work, rigging, and crane operations
• Direct and supervise crew leads, technicians, equipment operators, and subcontractors across all active site work
• Assign daily work plans, monitor crew productivity, and adjust resources to meet project schedules and production targets
• Coordinate crew travel, lodging, scheduling, and site rotations in partnership with the Project Coordinator
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all field personnel, subcontractors, and client representatives
Project Coordination & Execution
• Partner closely with the Project Manager to execute project plans, meet milestones, and manage scope changes in the field
• Monitor site progress daily and communicate status updates, resource needs, and schedule risks to the Project Manager
• Oversee site mobilization and demobilization from setup through closeout
• Coordinate with the Civil Superintendent, Crane Operator, Rigger, and other field leads to ensure smooth workflow across all site disciplines
• Identify and resolve field-level issues quickly and decisively, escalating to the Project Manager when needed
Safety Leadership
• Champion a zero-incident safety culture on site — set the standard and hold every crew member accountable
• Conduct and document daily tailgate safety meetings, JHAs, and pre-task planning with all site crews
• Ensure all personnel are properly trained, certified, and equipped with required PPE before beginning work
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and enforce immediate corrective action for any violations or unsafe conditions
• Partner with the Safety Specialist to investigate incidents, complete documentation, and implement corrective measures
• Maintain compliance with OSHA standards, environmental requirements, and all applicable regulations
Quality Control
• Monitor the quality of all field work against project specifications, client requirements, and company standards
• Conduct regular site walks and production inspections to verify work is being performed correctly and efficiently
• Identify rework or deficiencies early and take corrective action before they impact schedule or budget
• Ensure all processed materials are properly handled, staged, and documented per project requirements
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate daily field logs including crew hours, production quantities, equipment usage, and site conditions
• Submit daily and weekly field reports to the Project Manager covering production progress, safety observations, and resource status
• Ensure all required permits, certifications, and compliance documentation are current and accessible on site
• Track field-level costs and flag budget variances to the Project Manager in a timely manner
Requirements:• 5+ years of experience in field operations, construction, wind energy, industrial demolition, or a related industry
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary field crews across active job sites
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and field safety best practices
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, site drawings, and specifications
• Excellent communication and leadership skill, able to earn crew respect and drive accountability
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to travel extensively with multi-week site rotations
Preferred
• OSHA 30 certification
• Experience in wind energy decommissioning, turbine blade processing, or industrial recycling
• Familiarity with crane and rigging operations, civil earthwork, and blade processing workflows
