Job Description

Superintendent/Framing Foreman (copy)

Leola Construction is a residential shell construction company specializing in slab concrete, and framing for single-family homes, town homes, and condominiums. We provide expert services to many of the nation’s biggest home builders, delivering high-quality, on-time, and on-budget projects.

Our reputation is built on craftsmanship and accountability: tight tolerances, clean and safe jobsites, and work delivered on time and on budget. As part of a network of construction companies, we pair the focus of a specialized builder with the systems, resources, and stability of a larger organization. We invest in our people, fuel positivity on every job site, and bring a love-to-win, hate-to-lose mentality to the work.

The Superintendent/Framing Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of framing crews and overall site activity on assigned residential and/or commercial projects. This role blends hands-on framing expertise with the supervisory, scheduling, and quality-control responsibilities of a superintendent — ensuring that framing work and related trades are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Leola Construction's quality standards. This individual serves as the primary on-site point of accountability for framing crews, subcontractors, and site logistics.

Here's what you get to do:
  • Plan, direct, and supervise framing crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and schedule.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to guide layout, framing, and rough carpentry work.
  • Oversee daily site operations, including material staging, crew scheduling, and coordination of subcontractor trades (e.g., roofing, windows, sheathing).
  • Conduct regular quality control walkthroughs to ensure framing meets building codes, engineering specs, and company standards.
  • Enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA regulations; lead toolbox talks and address hazards proactively.
  • Manage the framing schedule and communicate progress, delays, and needs to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate material orders and deliveries with the office/purchasing team to keep crews supplied and on schedule.
  • Track daily labor hours, crew productivity, and job progress; complete daily logs and reports.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, including plan discrepancies, sequencing conflicts, and site constraints.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of framing crew members; provide performance feedback.
  • Maintain positive communication with inspectors, clients, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and jobsite are properly secured and maintained.
Here's why you're a great fit for this role:
  • 5+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial framing, including at least 2 years in a lead, foreman, or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong working knowledge of framing techniques, building codes, and construction sequencing.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Experience managing crews and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between job sites.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or related certification a plus.
What we offer:
At Leola Construction, we reward great work with competitive pay, comprehensive health benefits, and a 401(k)-company match. You’ll enjoy paid holidays, floating holidays, and three weeks of PTO to recharge. We’re committed to your growth in a specialized, in-demand niche, and you’ll be part of a team that values integrity, accountability, and celebrating wins together.
