Job Description

Building Estimating Specialist

Promise Robotics is pioneering Physical AI for homebuilding — a rapidly growing, venture-backed company bringing together AI, robotics, and manufacturing to help the homebuilding industry meet the growing demand for housing. Our robotic systems, built and operated inside AI-powered factories, give the industry the production capacity, consistency, and speed to build more high-quality homes than traditional methods allow. Our team spans AI researchers and roboticists to factory operators, technicians, and production teams — all building the future of homebuilding together.
You may be a good fit if you:
  • Have a passion for leading industry-changing solutions with significant social, economic, and environmental impact
  • Desire to play a founding role and reap the benefits as part of a growth-stage startup with significant upside
  • Enjoy building not only the technology but also high-performing teams and companies
  • Are committed to continuous learning at the intersection of several industries
What you'll do:
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact throughout the sales lifecycle—demos, RFIs/RFPs, facility tours, mock ups, and pilot scoping.
  • Understand customer needs, pain points, and environments; map those to tailored product solutions.
  • Analyze customer drawings, BOMs, and workflows, and ROI models that link cost, schedule, and sustainability benefits.
  • Capture and synthesize customer feedback and competitive insights
  • Lead and support customer visits, technical walkthroughs, and pilot program scoping.
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations (in-person or virtual) that showcase the full capabilities of the Promise Robotics platform—including BIM workflows, robotic manufacturing, and performance benefits.
  • Develop tailored proposals, solution configurations, and value cases aligned with customer priorities.
  • Build and continuously refine sales enablement content: slide decks, demo environments, case studies, FAQs, etc.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of our platform, industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in prefab, off-site, and construction robotics.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and deliver compelling proposals and value propositions.
  • Act as a bridge between sales, product, and engineering—translating customer feedback into product insights.
  • Support onboarding and initial technical setup post-sale, ensuring smooth handoff to factory implementation team or customer success.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our product, competitors, and the broader market landscape.
  • Maintain our SWOT analysis. All benchmarking and competitive information from the team is forwarded for consolidation.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, or technical workshops as needed.
What you'll need to succeed:
  • 3–6 years in a technical sales, pre-sales, sales engineering, or solution consulting role.
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of the homebuilding construction industry
  • Experience supporting a consultative or solution-based sales process.
  • Excellent communication skills—you can clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites, tradeshows, or internal meetings.
  • Familiarity with Revit, CAD Software, or related platforms.
  • Experience with CRM systems ( HubSpot) and sales enablement tools.
Benefits:
Competitive salary: we believe in data-driven, equitable compensation decisions. We recently completed a compensation review and implemented salary bands that enable us to pay mid to above-average Canadian salaries across various industries.
Stock options: everyone has a stake in our company.
Holistic benefits: we have a comprehensive benefits package that includes paramedical, dental, vision, and drug coverage for you and your dependents, as well as a health care spending account. These benefits start right from Day 1.
Flexible personal days and vacation policies: we care deeply about the well-being of our team.
Open, collaborative, and supportive culture: you will be part of an incredibly high-performing and collaborative team changing the future of an industry!
Relocation assistance package (if required)
