Davis GMC Buick in Lethbridge is looking for a Shop Foreman to lead our team of skilled Technicians and Apprentices. For over 35 years we have become one of the most respected and reputable dealerships in the province, where we are known for our strong team culture and service excellence.

This position is considered a working Foreman, meaning you will be required to be on the tools where needed. Our ideal candidate is a highly productive Technician and comes with a background of in-depth General Motors knowledge, is a strong team player who demonstrates a positive attitude and has a willingness to help others.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of the service shop, including monitoring the completion and quality of work
  • Provide support to Technicians and Apprentices and hold them accountable to achieving productivity goals
  • Provide guidance and advice on best practices including quoting, diagnostics and repairs
  • Manage and monitor the workflow in the shop to maximize efficiency
  • Training and onboarding of new hires to the team
  • Ensure safety protocols in the shop are met, including the appropriate use of PPE, tools and equipment
  • Communicate with customers when necessary regarding repairs or other issues
  • Communicate and work closely with other Department Managers, working effectively to identify opportunities and resolve issues
  • Maintain your own monthly productivity goals
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Possess a Journeyman Technician License with experience working on GM products is required
  • Reliable, committed team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help others
  • A high-performing producer who demonstrates a strong working knowledge of our systems and processes with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Committed to working with leadership to ensure goal alignment and achievement
  • Valid Driver’s License
