Job Description
For more than 60 years, Tyndale has helped readers discover the life-giving truths of God’s Word. Today we’re one of the largest independently owned Christian publishers in the world. Though our business has grown, our mission remains the same: to open God’s Word to as many as possible in language they can relate to and understand.
Our Marketing team brings Tyndale's books, Bibles, and brands to life across websites, email, and social media — turning marketing strategy into stories and campaigns that reach real readers. You'll lead a small, hands-on team, and you'll have the chance to build the systems and creative standards that shape how audiences experience Tyndale every day.
As Content Marketing Manager, you'll turn digital strategy into content that actually reaches people — coordinating campaigns, managing an integrated editorial calendar, and leading a small creative team to produce work that's timely, on-brand, and effective. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on writing and editing, and it's a chance to shape how audiences discover and connect with Tyndale's books, Bibles, and brands online.
What You'll Do
- Translate marketing strategy into an integrated content calendar and campaign plans that align with product launches, seasonal opportunities, and audience needs.
- Lead content development and execution across Tyndale's owned digital channels — websites, email, and social media — including writing and editing copy, landing pages, and promotional messaging.
- Lead, coach, and develop the content team (Social Media Specialist, Graphic Designer, Community Specialist), setting priorities, production standards, and workflows that keep quality high and deadlines on track.
- Grow and engage Tyndale's audiences by building loyalty-program participation, encouraging reviews and user-generated content, and incorporating audience feedback and social listening into content planning.
- Use analytics and performance data to continuously improve content effectiveness, applying SEO and user-experience best practices along the way.
- Partner across Marketing, Publishing, Ecommerce, PR, and Sales to support product launches, brand campaigns, and trade partner promotions as the day-to-day content point of contact.
Skills and Qualifications Needed
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Digital Media, or a related field
- 5-7+ years of progressively responsible experience in content marketing, digital marketing, communications, or editorial production
- Experience leading projects and supervising employees, with a portfolio demonstrating strong writing, editing, and digital content production preferred
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing content across websites, email, and social media, and managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), project management tools (e.g., Monday.com), CRM/marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot), content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva), and digital analytics/reporting tools
- A creative storyteller with strong editorial instincts, strategic thinking, and the ability to move between big-picture planning and hands-on execution
- A collaborative leader who enjoys developing others, brings humility and servant leadership to the role, and stays adaptable amid changing priorities
- Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God’s Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith
After an initial training period, this role is open to a hybrid work schedule, which means you'll be given the flexibility to split time between working from home and in the office.
