Cook in Schenectady, New York at RSM OPCO LLC

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced seasonal cook to join our team at Riverstone Manor, a busy and beautiful wedding and event venue. The cook will help prepare and execute high-quality food for weddings, private events and other special occasions.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys scratch cooking in a fast-paced kitchen, taking pride in their work, and understands the importance of providing excellent food and service for guests celebrating important milestones.

• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, menus, and quality standards
• Assist with preparation, plating, buffet setup, and service for weddings and special events
• Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary kitchen and work area
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
• Work efficiently while managing multiple food-preparation tasks and event timelines
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food and kitchen supplies
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team, event staff and management
• Help with kitchen cleanup and breakdown following events
• Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and portion control
• Perform other kitchen duties as needed
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
