As we continue to grow, we currently have a tremendous opportunity for a Payroll Analyst who is up for the challenge.
Summary/Objective:
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for assisting with all functions related to the processing of the Company’s payroll and travel and expense reimbursements. They ensure accurate and timely processing for each bi-weekly cycle. They work under direction of the Payroll Supervisor to improve payroll-related activities.
Essential Functions:

- Conduct daily reviews and updates to employee timecards, including daily review and input of driver hours utilizing ELD system
- Provide assistance to all staff members with payroll inquiries, including but not limited to address, tax or deduction changes, time off inquiries, access issues, and use of ADP payroll System.
- Review/ Approve employee expense reports and import reimbursements into the payroll system
- Provide new hire employee training related to payroll system timecard reporting and PTO requests.
- Input and verify bi-weekly processing of multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes to all employees consistent with federal, state and local wage and hour laws
- Ensure the processing of new hires, changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations is accurate and timely in payroll system
- Support management and employees as customers, and act as a liaison with colleagues in HR, Accounting, etc. in a team environment
- Stay current on federal, state and local tax and other regulatory changes with impact on payroll operations
- Audit and reconcile payroll results and travel and expense activity for each payroll processed
- Provide ad-hoc management reporting and data requests as appropriate
- Participate in related projects as assigned

Sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, speaking, hearing and near visual acuity; continual use of computer and other office equipment, occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling.
Travel:
Local area only during or adjacent to scheduled workday.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or BA/BS degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
- Minimum three (3) years related experience, preferably in an accounting department
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience with ADP Workforce Now is required
- Strong analytical problem solving and auditing skills
- High attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed satisfactorily
- Experience with multi-state payroll preferred
- Experience with Electronic Log Devices for DOT compliance
- Experience with federal, state, and local payroll taxes
- Experience with California wage and hour laws, not required but preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work independently
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook
