Job Description

  • DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
    • The Dispatch Scheduler assists in all operations of the Morris Hospital Transportation Program, including: dispatching; patient assessment and scheduling; volunteer recruitment, training and scheduling; compliance with all regulatory agency standards and Morris Hospital policies and procedures; process improvements; public relations, and community education.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
    • Professional/Educational
      • A minimum of 2 years of college is preferred. Healthcare experience and/or experience with the elderly preferred.
      • Experience training and supervising others.
      • Experience working with volunteers is preferred.
      • Public relations experience.
      • Computer experience.
      • Current CPR Certification preferred.
      • Current valid drivers license.
    • Personal
      • Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
      • Exhibits a positive, service-oriented attitude.
      • Is organized and able to handle multiple priorities.
      • Possesses ability to communicate effectively with the public and service areas.
      • Has ability to assess the needs of the customer(s) and develop new service features, as needed.
      • Able to work independently in a fast pace, demanding environment and provide quality customer service with little to no supervision.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
