Job Description: CGSB Technician II

Qualification:

  • CGSB Certification - RT2, additional certifications are considered an asset
  • CEDO certification
  • Strong work ethic

  • Exceptional safety and quality awareness, following all regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working at a high-performance level.
  • Ability to work extended hours and shifts when necessary.
  • Ability to travel to project location.
  • Valid driver's license.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The CGSB Technician ensures that all Non-Destructive Testing is completed effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with all Industrial, Provincial, and Federal legislation while also following all of AM Inspection’s internal safety, quality, and regulatory requirements and procedures. The CGSB Technician will be directly supervised by Operations Management and must be able to follow clear direction while performing all necessary tasks asked of them.

DUTIES:

  • Participate in incident and accident reviews and investigations.
  • Assist in the preparation and disassembly of equipment for Non-Destruction Testing.
  • Complete inspections as a certified NDT Inspector on equipment including, but not limited to:

o RT – Perform x-ray or gamma ray film exposures for weld inspection. Ability to perform both external camera exposures and internal pipeline crawler exposures.

o MT – Assist with structural inspections including pickers, lifts, cranes, side booms, etc

o PT – Assist with liquid penetrant inspections as required.

o UT – Assist with the inspection of flow lines, pressure vessels, line pipe / pipe skids, nozzles, and a variety of other equipment as required.

HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that work is completed in compliance with AM Inspection’s Health and Safety Policies.
  • Ensure that work is completed in compliance with AM Inspection’s, Customer’s, and Industry specific requirements.
  • Be responsible for hazard mitigation and adhere to PPE requirements for all work sites.
  • Participate in AM Inspection’s Health & Safety program as necessary.
