SERVICE ADVISOR - SERVICE WRITER FOR NYE VOLKSWAGEN OF ROME, NY

Our Service Advisors are responsible for educating customers of the repair or maintenance needs of the vehicle to ensure the vehicle remains safe while on the road. He/she would also educate the customers of their vehicles scheduled maintenance given by the manufacturer.

Auto Service experience preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Workdays: Monday through Friday and some Saturdays

Work Location: In-person in Rome, NY

Salary: $55,000 - $100,000

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through the direction of the shop staff in the performance of quality vehicle repair and maintenance services.
• Help promote the NYE name and services
• Analyze vehicle service needs
• Effectively communicate those needs to customers
• Must have a good personality and enjoy working with people
• Must have a positive attitude

Requirements

• 3+ years of Service Advisor Auto Dealership experience is REQUIRED
• Must have a clean and valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to work some Saturdays

• Ability to lead, motivate, and uphold safety regulations
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in communication and phone skills
• Proficient in navigating computers, with the ability to learn new programs
• Must be proficient in reading, writing, math, and language skills.
• Must be a team player and work well with others
• Must have good time management skills and be able to work independently
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Integrity, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic required

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully

• An applicant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• An applicant must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must have a valid and clean Driver’s License.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Manufacturer Training – will need to complete on the job and within the timeline given
