The Microsoft Security Integration Engineer will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing Microsoft security solutions while ensuring the stability, security, and effectiveness of enterprise environments.
- Deploy and manage security features across Microsoft security platforms, including Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Purview.
- Configure, optimize, and maintain security policies and controls to address evolving cybersecurity threats.
- Perform system administration, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance for Microsoft security services.
- Ensure the architectural integrity, availability, and operational health of the Microsoft security ecosystem.
- Implement security hardening measures and governance practices across Microsoft environments.
- Collaborate with security operations and compliance teams to align technical configurations with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Translate security requirements into effective technical implementations and automated workflows.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, configurations, security standards, and incident response procedures.
- Support threat detection and mitigation initiatives by improving security visibility and operational processes.
- Contribute technical expertise to security improvement projects and integration initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an experienced security professional with strong Microsoft security expertise and the ability to translate business and security requirements into technical solutions.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration, security engineering, or a related cybersecurity role.
- Candidates with 3–4 years of relevant experience combined with strong Microsoft certifications may also be considered.
- Proven experience implementing and managing Microsoft E5/E7 security capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, endpoint protection, identity management, and threat intelligence solutions.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, security hardening, governance, and compliance practices.
- Ability to design, configure, and automate security workflows based on organizational requirements.
- Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or cybersecurity-focused environment is preferred.
- Experience with SIEM/SOAR solutions and security monitoring processes is an asset.
- Knowledge of Kusto Query Language (KQL) for threat hunting, analysis, and reporting is preferred.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as MS-500, SC-series, CISSP, CISM, or GSEC are considered an advantage.
- Consulting or advisory experience with the ability to provide professional references for previous engagements is required.
