- Improve the reliability, scalability, and availability of critical platform components by implementing monitoring, operational best practices, and performance optimizations.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, platform capabilities, and system architecture while driving continuous technical innovation.
- Promote engineering excellence through high-quality code reviews, technical documentation, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor fellow engineers by providing technical guidance, constructive feedback, and leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in on-call rotations and operational support to maintain platform health and ensure reliable service delivery.

- Strong expertise building distributed systems with technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, MySQL, or comparable cloud-native infrastructure.
- Experience designing extensible architectures and delivering complex technical solutions in large-scale production environments.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while safely implementing significant changes within large codebases.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, system reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to balance technical requirements, product priorities, and business objectives.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions.
- A growth mindset with a proactive approach to learning, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
- Competitive annual base salary of CAD $153,000–$213,000, based on experience, skills, and location.
