As a Senior Director of Marketing, Consulting Business, you will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that elevate brand visibility, strengthen thought leadership, and support business growth.
- Define and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business priorities, positioning, and growth objectives.
- Build and strengthen brand equity through consistent storytelling, thought leadership, and high-quality market-facing content.
- Partner with senior executives, consultants, and subject matter experts to identify opportunities and amplify expertise-driven initiatives.
- Lead the creation of impactful content including research reports, white papers, blogs, customer stories, executive viewpoints, and social media content.
- Transform proprietary research, industry insights, and consulting expertise into compelling narratives that differentiate the brands.
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives including websites, SEO, social media, email campaigns, and audience engagement strategies.
- Develop and optimize marketing campaigns focused on awareness, influence, credibility, and market positioning.
- Use analytics and performance insights to measure campaign effectiveness and continuously improve marketing impact.
- Manage external agencies, freelancers, and contractors to deliver high-quality marketing initiatives efficiently.
- Act as a strategic marketing partner for business leaders, ensuring alignment across teams and priorities.
- Collaborate with broader marketing functions to leverage shared resources while maintaining brand consistency.
The ideal candidate is a strategic marketing leader with strong experience in consulting, professional services, research, or related industries, combining storytelling expertise with business-focused execution.
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience within consulting, professional services, market research, consumer insights, or a related organization.
- Proven track record of building brand authority and thought leadership programs that increase market visibility and influence.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to move between long-term planning and hands-on execution.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and content development skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas into compelling narratives.
- Experience translating research, data, intellectual property, or subject matter expertise into impactful marketing content.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing agencies, contractors, and external partners to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Hands-on knowledge of content marketing, SEO, social media, email marketing, and digital campaign best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience in market research, consumer insights, or research consulting is considered a strong asset.
- Competitive salary range of CAD $130,000 to $180,000, based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
