Full-time | Permanent | Onsite

Hourly | $25 - $30

About this Opportunity:

This position facilitates MRB dispositions, carrying out dispositions and maintains MRB log.

Responsibilities:

  • Disposition and update Non-conformance reports after review of the issue with Engineering/Manufacturing.
  • Facilitates dispositions:
  1. If rework is dispositioned – Coordinate with Manufacturing and Planning to release the rework work order and move the parts to the designated location.
  2. If scrap is dispositioned – Update the NCR and physically scrap parts to the appropriate bin.
  3. If UAI is dispositioned – Update the NCR with the Customer’s approval or Engineering justification.
  4. If RTS is dispositioned – Follow up with the RMA Coordinator until the parts are returned.
  • Makes sure customer returns are processed in a timely manner, by coordinating with the appropriate Engineer.
  • Maintain a MRB log and provide periodic status updates.
  • May support QC inspections as needed.
  • Communicates and coordinates with the Metal Quality Manager, Manufacturing and Engineering regarding production issues that may affect quality and or on-time delivery.
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Authorizes and approves expenditures in accordance with the company’s Expenditure Approval Policy.
  • Interact with all functional groups within the organization and with all levels of employees as well as suppliers and outside service providers.
  • Exercises judgement within broadly defined practices and policies as it relates to quality and personnel.
  • Develops, modifies, and executes inspection processes that are critical to maintain complete customer satisfaction.
  • Primary direction and supervision provided by the Quality Manager.
  • May take direction from other executive staff members in other functional groups. Position Is not a supervisor of staff.
Requirements:
  • AA degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school: or six months to one year of related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a quality/ manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all employees.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills.
  • Working knowledge of measuring tools (Calipers, Pin Gauges, Micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
  • Excellent computers skills and the ability to create documents using software programs including the creation of spreadsheets. High level problem assessment and solution skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Most assigned tasks for this position may involve “Light work” however some may involve “Medium Work” as defined below. The hiring authority may review the applicant’s physical ability based on the specific tasks to be assigned:
  1. Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  2. Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
