Position SummaryQUA Dining is seeking a dependable Floor Assistant to support our Front-of-House team. This role helps keep the dining room clean and organized, clears and resets tables, assists with food delivery, and responds to guest needs.
The ideal candidate is attentive, works well with others, and takes pride in helping service run smoothly.
Key ResponsibilitiesClear used tableware between courses and provide clean tableware as needed.
Clear and reset tables promptly after guests leave.
Transport dishes, glassware, silverware, and other tableware to designated dishwashing areas.
Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, booths, and surrounding dining areas between seatings.
Maintain clean floors and guest areas throughout the shift.
Assist with prompt and accurate food delivery to guests.
Respond professionally and promptly to guest requests.
Assist servers and other Front-of-House team members as needed.
Thank guests as they leave and help maintain a welcoming dining environment.
Attend required employee meetings and training sessions.
Perform other duties consistent with the position and restaurant operations as assigned by management.
Six months to one year of restaurant, hospitality, or similar experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and team members.
Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and food-safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, stand for extended periods, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to safely handle and transport hot plates and dishes using appropriate safety procedures.
California Food Handler Card required within 30 days of hire. Employer-paid training and examination, along with compensated training time, will be provided in accordance with California law.
Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required within 60 days of employment if duties include serving or delivering alcoholic beverages.
This position pays $17 per hour.
