Nurse Practitioner (Iberia Medical) in New Iberia, Louisiana at The Baton Rouge Clinic, AMC

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Hospital Medicine healthcare team at Iberia Medical Center, located at 2315 East Main Street, New Iberia, LA 70560 (Iberia Parish). The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital medicine and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide medication management and monitor patient responses to treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems such as EPIC.

Education:

• Master of Science-Nurse Practitioner

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenses in the State of Louisiana.
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the applicable specialty (e.g., Family, Adult-Gerontology, Pediatric) through an accredited certifying organization

Experience:

• Proficient in patient assessment techniques and clinical decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Current Nurse Practitioner License
• Qualified applicant needs at least 1 year of previous NP experience
