This field-based commercial role is focused on driving growth across federal healthcare systems by selling advanced medical technologies and digital health solutions within the Acute Care & Monitoring portfolio. The position covers a multi-state territory and requires deep engagement with VA Medical Centers, DoD Military Treatment Facilities, and other government healthcare organizations. It blends consultative medical device sales with strategic account management and digital health program expansion. The role is highly cross-functional, involving collaboration with clinical stakeholders, procurement teams, and internal product specialists to deliver integrated solutions. It requires strong navigation of federal contracting environments and the ability to manage complex, multi-layered sales cycles. This is a high-impact position where commercial execution directly supports improvements in patient care, clinical efficiency, and healthcare system modernization.
- Drive territory sales growth across Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) solutions, including patient monitoring, airway management, and diagnostic technologies.
- Expand adoption of Medtronic technologies within VA Medical Centers, DoD facilities, and other federal healthcare institutions.
- Execute competitive displacement strategies and manage upgrade cycles across existing installed bases.
- Develop and grow digital health and remote patient monitoring programs within assigned federal accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical leaders, procurement teams, and biomedical stakeholders across government healthcare systems.
- Coordinate cross-portfolio selling efforts to connect acute care solutions with digital health offerings.
- Manage pipeline development, CRM accuracy, and disciplined forecasting across multiple product lines and accounts.
- Support contract execution, standardization initiatives, and procurement alignment in collaboration with national account leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, procurement policies, and organizational sales standards.
- High school diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience, associate degree with 6+ years, or bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in medical device, healthcare, or life sciences sales.
- Strong experience in consultative sales within healthcare or clinical environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder accounts and long sales cycles.
- Familiarity with federal healthcare systems (VA, DoD, or similar) and procurement processes is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical devices, patient monitoring systems, or digital health solutions.
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) with disciplined pipeline management practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across clinical and administrative audiences.
- Ability to travel up to 60% across a multi-state territory.
- Self-directed, organized, and capable of managing a large and geographically dispersed territory.
