The Sales Support Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the daily execution, organization, and coordination of the Sales organization. This position serves as a central support resource across Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, and Operations to help ensure timely communication, accurate reporting, strong customer responsiveness, and consistent commercial execution.
This role combines commercial coordination, reporting, CRM and database management, trade show and marketing support, pricing and broker-related support, administrative coordination, content and material support, and day-to-day commercial execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional foodservice environment while managing multiple priorities and evolving business needs. Prior food manufacturing, protein, or distribution experience is highly desirable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support day-to-day coordination and communication across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and HR.
· Maintain and improve sales-related databases, pricing files, specification sheets, customer stock lists, SharePoint resources, broker support files, and other commercial documentation to support accurate and efficient execution across the Sales organization.
· Assist with new customer and item onboarding processes, including coordination of setup requirements and supporting documentation.
· Support the coordination, maintenance, and distribution of recurring sales reports, trend summaries, dashboards, forecasts, and related analytics.
· Help maintain and audit pricing files, customer price lists, trade agreements, and internal pricing controls to ensure accuracy and consistency across the Sales organization.
· Provide backup coordination and administrative support related to broker programs, commission tracking support, and related reporting.
· Monitor and coordinate responses for sales-related email inboxes, website inquiries, customer requests, and internal follow-up items.
· Coordinate and support trade shows, customer events, food shows, and sales meetings, including logistics, materials, inventory, setup, and post-event follow-up.
· Maintain and organize sales collateral, presentations, distributor materials, sell sheets, and marketing support materials to ensure consistency and field readiness.
· Partner with Marketing and Sales Leadership to support campaigns, lead tracking, follow-up accountability, and coordination of commercial initiatives.
· Provide flexible administrative and coordination support to Sales Leadership, including preparation of presentations, reports, spreadsheets, meeting materials, and other ad hoc commercial support needs.
· Manage scheduling and coordination of sales meetings, including agendas, calendar management, meeting recaps, action items, and related follow-up communication.
· Support customer feedback, complaint, and returns coordination while collaborating with internal teams to drive timely resolution.
· Assist with CRM management, reporting discipline, internal sales communication, and administrative coordination to help ensure accurate data and timely follow-through.
· Support front desk and general administrative coverage as needed during PTO coverage, meetings, peak activity periods, or other business needs to help ensure continuity of day-to-day operations and communication.
· Support inventory management and coordination of trade show materials, product samples, branded merchandise, presentation assets, and customer gift programs to help ensure organization, availability, and execution readiness for sales initiatives and events.
· Ensure sample requests, sales materials, and related support items are organized, prepared, and ready to support sales initiatives and customer needs.
· Contribute to process improvements that help improve organization, responsiveness, communication, and execution consistency across the Sales organization.
· Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
· High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
· Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in sales support, sales operations, customer support, marketing coordination, or related business support roles preferred.
· Foodservice, manufacturing, protein, distribution, or CPG experience preferred.
· Strong organizational, coordination, and follow-through skills with high attention to detail and accuracy across reporting, pricing, and documentation.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, filtering, formulas, and reporting functions; ability to prepare professional PowerPoint presentations and supporting materials highly desirable.
· Comfort working within CRM, ERP, and shared database environments.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively support internal teams and external partners.
· Self-motivated, highly responsive, and able to work cross-functionally with a proactive, team-oriented approach and strong relationship-building skills across departments.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
· Ability to occasionally travel for trade shows, customer meetings, or company events.
· Ability to lift and move trade show materials or product samples (up to 40 lbs.) as needed.
