The Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Division is made of up approximately 70 clinical staff and over 100 research staff who work in a variety of locations including: Bridgeside Point, Biomedical Science Tower (BST), UPMC Hospitals including Presbyterian, Shadyside, East, Jameson and Mercy. The division provides world class services across 10 inpatient services at five hospitals and over 70,000 outpatient office visits. We have a major research mission that focuses on basic, clinical, and translational research on the lung, microbiome, COVID-19, sleep medicine, and allergy and immunology.
The Project Manger will support operational management of a large, multi-institution federally funded research program. The incumbent will maintain schedule and deliverable tracking, coordinates partner-site logistics, supports budget and subaward monitoring, and assists with federal reporting, scientific and non-scientific write-ups, and compliance under the PI's guidance.
Oversees all aspects of planning, design, and execution of assigned small, routine projects and coordinates with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Assists in timeline development, ensures adherence to timeframes, and adjusts project deliverables to avoid issues. Performs budgetary functions and administrative tasks. Assists with external consultant and vendor selection, negotiation, and management.
Essential Functions
• Maintain the program schedule and deliverable tracker; monitor deadlines and flag risks to the PI.
• Coordinate partner-site logistics, schedule meetings, capture and follow up on action items.
• Support budget and subaward monitoring and vendor/payment processing with the research administration office and other relevant office in the university.
• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual sponsor reports; maintain accurate records and files.
• Support compliance and regulatory documentation (COI, MTAs, biosafety, export control), program communications, and scientific and non-scientific write-ups as requested by the PI.

Must be able to sit/stand for up to 8 hours in an office/lab setting.
