Construction Manager in Haciendas del Canada, Nuevo León at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Construction Manager based in Canada.

This is a hands-on construction leadership role overseeing multiple projects from initial planning through final completion.
You will manage project scope, schedules, budgets, contractors, vendors, permitting, and site execution.
The role combines strategic project management with field-level oversight and continuous problem-solving.
You will work closely with senior leaders, operations teams, architects, engineers, contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Success will be measured through safety, quality, cost control, schedule performance, and successful project handovers.
The position offers a remote working arrangement with significant regional travel and occasional travel across North America.

• Lead construction projects from inception through commissioning, completion, and handover, ensuring scope, quality, cost, safety, and schedule objectives are achieved.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering schedules, responsibilities, risks, communications, stakeholders, and key milestones.

• Direct general contractors, engineers, architects, vendors, and other project partners to ensure contractual and performance requirements are met.

• Provide clear, timely, and transparent project updates to operations, senior leadership, and other stakeholders.

• Conduct site surveys, due diligence, scope development, cost estimating, budget management, change-order review, invoice review, forecasting, and project closeout.

• Lead design reviews, permitting activities, regulatory coordination, bidding processes, and contractor-selection recommendations.

• Provide field oversight from preconstruction through inspections, occupancy, commissioning, and final project completion.

• Develop accurate equipment take-offs and coordinate equipment ordering for individual projects.

• Monitor project KPIs and vendor performance, addressing schedule, cost, quality, safety, and execution issues promptly.

• Track and resolve project deficiencies, ensuring outstanding items are documented and completed within required timelines.

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable environmental, accessibility, life-safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Escalate material impacts to time, cost, quality, or safety promptly and maintain project documentation in accordance with established procedures.

• Support operational handovers following successful commissioning and ensure projects are fully closed according to departmental standards.

• Proven experience in construction and project management, ideally managing multiple projects from planning through completion.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; alternatively, a high school diploma/GED combined with equivalent professional experience or 4+ years of U.S. military experience.

• Strong understanding of construction processes, contractor management, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, procurement, and project controls.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, operations teams, contractors, engineers, architects, vendors, and regulatory authorities.

• Strong problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and decision-making abilities in a dynamic project environment.

• Experience developing project plans, managing risks, tracking KPIs, reviewing costs, and forecasting project performance.

• Knowledge of accessibility and life-safety requirements and their application to construction projects.

• Experience with convenience-store, fueling, retail, or quick-service restaurant construction is an asset.

• Knowledge of underground storage tank (UST) fueling systems, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is highly valued.

• Additional construction-related certifications, technical education, or industry credentials are an asset.

• Ability to travel regionally more than 50% of the time, with potential travel across North America based on business requirements.

• Ability to perform physical activities associated with construction oversight, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, driving, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Annual salary range of $70,000–$107,500 USD, based on the applicable location and role factors.
