We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Estimator to support mission critical electrical construction projects. In this role, you will lead complex estimating efforts from conceptual budgeting through final construction pricing while partnering closely with operations, preconstruction, procurement, VDC, and project management teams.

- Champion Sargent Electric's commitment to safety, ensuring all estimating activities align with company safety standards and client requirements
- Lead the complete estimating lifecycle, including conceptual budgets, schematic estimates, design development estimates, GMPs, construction document estimates, bulletins, and change orders
- Serve as the lead estimator on assigned pursuits, coordinating estimating efforts with operations, procurement, preconstruction, VDC, and project management teams
- Develop and manage detailed quantity takeoffs, labor analysis, scope reviews, and pricing strategies for complex electrical construction projects
- Prepare bid summaries, estimate narratives, risk registers, value engineering proposals, alternates, clarifications, and assumptions
- Solicit, evaluate, and level supplier and subcontractor pricing, while monitoring market conditions, material availability, and pricing trends
- Participate in client presentations, budget reviews, estimate presentations, and cost discussions to support project pursuits and customer relationships
- Mentor and develop estimators, junior estimators, and interns, helping strengthen departmental capabilities and best practices
- Collaborate with field leadership and project teams to validate production rates, means and methods, project logistics, and execution strategies
- Utilize estimating platforms, digital takeoff tools, BIM/VDC workflows, and cost databases to improve estimate accuracy and efficiency
- Capture lessons learned from completed projects and apply feedback to strengthen future estimates and improve competitiveness
- Support department initiatives and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by estimating and executive leadership
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical construction estimating experience
- Minimum of 3 years serving as a lead estimator on projects exceeding $10 million
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction means and methods, labor analysis, and cost development
- Experience developing conceptual, schematic, design-assist, GMP, and construction document estimates
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, project teams, vendors, and leadership
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under tight deadlines
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Equivalent trade, field, or estimating experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

- BuildingConnected
- Related estimating and construction technologies
- Experience estimating hyperscale data centers, healthcare facilities, advanced manufacturing facilities, mission critical facilities, or other large-scale electrical construction projects
- Understanding of design-assist delivery, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), target value design, GMP development, and conceptual estimating
- Experience preparing complete electrical estimates for projects exceeding $25 million
