As Senior Manager, Lifecycle Marketing, you will own the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of customer lifecycle programs. You will lead a team of marketing professionals while partnering cross-functionally to deliver personalized experiences that improve activation, retention, and expansion.
- Define the lifecycle marketing strategy and establish operating rhythms that align email marketing and customer marketing efforts around shared customer journey goals and KPIs.
- Manage, mentor, and develop individual contributors responsible for email marketing and customer marketing programs, including goal-setting, prioritization, and professional growth.
- Own email channel strategy, including segmentation, personalization, experimentation, and optimization initiatives to improve program performance.
- Guide customer marketing initiatives focused on renewal, expansion, cross-sell opportunities, and increasing customer engagement.
- Partner with customer advocacy and education teams to create connected customer experiences across communications, content, and engagement programs.
- Analyze lifecycle performance metrics and communicate insights, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing Operations, Data, Sales, and Customer Success teams to align programs with product updates, business priorities, and customer needs.
- Use customer data, behavioral insights, and AI-powered tools to scale marketing efforts while maintaining strong editorial quality and human-centered communication.
- Continuously improve lifecycle processes, testing frameworks, and customer engagement strategies.
The ideal candidate is an experienced lifecycle marketing leader with a strong background in SaaS, customer engagement, and email marketing strategy. You should combine strategic thinking, analytical ability, leadership skills, and hands-on expertise with marketing technologies.
- 8+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM marketing, email marketing, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience directly managing and developing individual contributor marketing teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with lifecycle marketing platforms such as Iterable or similar tools including Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Marketo.
- Proven expertise in segmentation, personalization, testing strategies, and improving email channel performance.
- Experience leading customer marketing programs focused on renewal, expansion, upsell, or cross-sell initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Ability to translate customer data, cohort analysis, and performance metrics into actionable lifecycle strategies.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Data, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing Operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to connect marketing programs to customer and revenue outcomes.
- Experience working in SaaS or technology-driven environments is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or similar prospect engagement platforms is an asset.
- Curiosity about AI applications in marketing and the ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scale.
- Competitive base salary ranging from CAD $129,200 to $152,000 annually, depending on location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
