Job Title: Billing Analyst

Team: Finance

Reports To: Manager, Associate Billing

Location: Toronto, Ontario (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Employment Type: 1-Year Contract

About 123Dentist

At 123Dentist, we are one of Canada’s largest and fastest-growing dental support organizations, backing a network of more than 475 practices with HR, finance, operations, marketing, and billing support so that clinic teams can focus on what matters most: their patients. With over 7,000 team members nationwide, we are united by a shared mission to make Canadians smile.

About the Role

123Dentist is launching a focused, high-impact initiative to transition clinics across the network from insurance cheque payments to Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). This project will reduce administrative burden at the clinic level, improve cash flow timing, and eliminate risks associated with cheque processing disruptions.

As Billing Analyst, you will be part of a small, centralized team dedicated to executing this transition from end to end. You will work directly with insurance providers and clinic teams to drive EFT enrollments, track progress across the network, and keep things moving to completion.

This is a project-based contract role with a defined scope. If you are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a high volume of follow-up activity with consistency and accuracy, this role is a great fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Contact insurance providers to initiate and complete EFT enrollment processes on behalf of clinics
  • Gather required documentation and information from clinics, including provider details, licensing numbers, and contact information
  • Maintain organized tracking of conversion status across clinics and insurers
  • Follow up with insurers and clinics to ensure timely completion of enrollments
  • Troubleshoot issues and escalate where necessary
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations stakeholders to support smooth execution across the network

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • Diploma in office or business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a Patient Coordinator, Billing Specialist, or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of insurance billing processes and workflows

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills, with a persistent and professional approach
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
  • Collaborative team player who can coordinate effectively with clinic teams and internal stakeholders

Why Join 123Dentist?

  • Contribute to a high-impact, company-wide initiative with a clear and meaningful outcome
  • Gain cross-functional exposure working alongside Finance and Operations teams
  • Build project execution and process improvement experience in a national healthcare network
  • Be part of one of Canada’s largest and fastest-growing dental support organizations

123Dentist is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment process and work environment. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
