We are seeking an organized and proactive Production Coordinator to support daily production operations within Production Plant 1. This non-exempt position reports to Josh McCloskey and works closely with the Production Manager and Director of Commercial Operations to help maintain efficient production flow throughout the plant.
The Production Coordinator assists with scheduling, work order distribution, kiln scheduling, remake coordination, and communication between departments. This role serves as a key link between production leadership and the shop floor to help ensure daily priorities are clearly communicated and production bottlenecks are identified and addressed quickly.
Key Responsibilities:Production Scheduling & Work Order Coordination:- Print, organize, and distribute production work orders to the appropriate departments.
- Assist with maintaining daily and weekly production schedules.
- Ensure work orders are prioritized and distributed in the correct production sequence.
- Track production progress and identify jobs that may be at risk of falling behind schedule.
- Communicate schedule changes, priority shifts, and urgent production needs to appropriate departments.
- Work with production employees and department leads to communicate daily priorities and expected output.
- Help organize employee task lists based on production schedules.
- Follow up on job status, material movement, and department readiness.
- Assist with redirecting labor to departments needing additional support.
- Help ensure materials move through the plant efficiently and without unnecessary delays.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining kiln schedules.
- Coordinate with production leadership to prioritize kiln runs based on due dates, remake urgency, production capacity, and department needs.
- Communicate kiln schedule updates and changes to affected departments.
- Track kiln-related production needs and escalate scheduling conflicts when necessary.
- Assist with entering and coordinating remake orders.
- Ensure remake work orders are properly created, organized, and distributed.
- Communicate remake priorities to production leadership and affected departments.
- Follow up on remake status to help ensure timely completion.
- Support coordination between Plant 1 and Plant 2 regarding shared work, materials, equipment, and production needs.
- Help communicate interplant priorities and scheduling requirements.
- Assist with tracking transferred work between plants to ensure completion.
- Coordinate production flow between departments to reduce delays and miscommunication.
- Communicate with department leads regarding job readiness, missing materials, labor needs, and schedule updates.
- Identify potential production bottlenecks and communicate concerns to production leadership.
- Help maintain alignment between cutting, fabrication, polishing, kilns, lamination, inspection, shipping, and other production areas as needed.
- Maintain organized production records, schedules, and tracking documentation.
- Assist with production-related administrative tasks as needed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within production operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Monday – Thursday 6:30am–4:00pm
Friday 7:00am–11:00am
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College experience is a plus but not required.
- ISO production environment experience preferred.
- Salesforce experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of production scheduling or willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow up consistently and keep tasks moving efficiently.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to work with production paperwork, work orders, schedules, and tracking systems.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with both office staff and production employees.
