About the Role:

The EXP Leasing Consultant at Trellis on the Lake Apartments plays a pivotal role in driving occupancy and ensuring resident satisfaction within the community. This position is responsible for engaging prospective residents, providing detailed information about apartment features and community amenities, and guiding them through the leasing process to secure new leases. The Leasing Consultant acts as the primary point of contact for inquiries, tours, and lease negotiations, fostering positive relationships that contribute to long-term resident retention. Additionally, this role supports the property management team by maintaining accurate leasing records and assisting with marketing initiatives to attract qualified applicants. Ultimately, the Leasing Consultant helps create a welcoming and professional environment that reflects the high standards of Trellis on the Lake Apartments and supports the community’s growth and success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service, preferably in residential property management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with property management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with OneSite or similar property management software.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing regulations.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding leasing goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct property tours for prospective residents, highlighting apartment features and community amenities.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Assist applicants through the leasing process, including application completion, screening, and lease execution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date leasing records and resident information in property management software.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement leasing promotions and community events that drive traffic and interest.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents to foster positive community relations.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies throughout all leasing activities.
  • Support the property management team with administrative tasks and reporting as needed.

Skills:

The required skills enable the Leasing Consultant to effectively communicate with prospective residents, ensuring they understand the benefits and features of the apartments and community. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building trust and rapport during tours and lease negotiations, while computer proficiency allows for efficient management of leasing documentation and resident records. Knowledge of Fair Housing laws ensures all interactions and leasing processes are compliant and ethical. Preferred skills such as bilingual communication and familiarity with property management software enhance the consultant’s ability to serve a broader range of clients and streamline administrative tasks. Together, these skills support daily activities that drive occupancy, maintain resident satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of Trellis on the Lake Apartments.
