Provides high level administrative oversight of the daily office functions in a medical office setting.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Functions as the senior level resource for daily office operations and workflow in a medical office setting.
  2. May assign support responsibilities as needed including coordinating coverage schedule of other office staff.
  3. Facilitates front office staff meetings and acts as liaison between front office and providers and clinical staff.
  4. Performs daily administrative duties of the office including maintenance of provider schedules.
  5. Advises manager of process improvement opportunities and other functions to improve staff allocation; patient flow or administrative tasks.
  6. Provides patient referrals (with physician direction) or ensures appropriate referrals have been obtained for required visits to specialty offices.
  7. Functions as the super user for the office computer software.
  8. Performs all the duties of the medical office coordinator as required.
