This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced digital environments and is passionate about online safety and policy enforcement. As Team Lead of Content Moderators, you will oversee daily moderation operations, support a distributed team, and help ensure consistent application of platform guidelines across sensitive and high-impact content areas. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, improving workflows, and escalating complex moderation cases when needed. The position combines people leadership, operational oversight, and analytical thinking in a collaborative remote-first setting. - Supervise day-to-day moderation operations, ensuring team members consistently meet productivity, quality, and compliance targets.
- Provide hands-on guidance for complex or high-risk moderation cases, helping team members apply policies accurately and consistently.
- Monitor performance metrics and moderation trends to identify opportunities for operational improvements and enhanced decision-making.
- Coordinate scheduling and workflow distribution to maintain balanced workloads and timely task completion across the team.
- Support onboarding and ongoing training initiatives, reinforcing best practices and promoting continuous learning.
- Conduct moderation audits to ensure consistency, identify policy gaps, and maintain high standards of enforcement accuracy.
- Serve as an escalation point for challenging cases and internal team concerns, facilitating effective and timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve moderation processes and strengthen trust and safety strategies.
- 2–4 years of leadership experience within content moderation, compliance, trust & safety, regulatory affairs, or policy-related environments.
- Strong understanding of sensitive online content areas, including hate speech, violent extremism, self-harm, fraud, exploitation, and misinformation.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and enforce platform policies with consistency, sound judgment, and professionalism.
- Experience analyzing moderation data, performance metrics, and operational trends to support process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to provide clear feedback and direction to team members.
- Comfortable working in a fully remote environment with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of integrity, resilience, and emotional maturity when handling sensitive or high-risk content.
- Strong computer literacy and confidence using digital tools, moderation systems, and reporting platforms.
- Willingness to work with adult-content platforms and enforce policies within regulated content environments.
