Shipping Assistant in Courtland, Virginia at The Gerard Group, Inc

FERIDIES® Peanuts are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Assistant to join our team. As a Shipping Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products are shipped efficiently and accurately. You will assist in the preparation, labeling, and dispatching of shipments while maintaining our inventory and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shipping warehouse areas.
• Ensure all wholesale and retail orders are shipped daily according to company standards.
• Keep all shipping stations neat and orderly on a daily basis.
• Maintain stock of necessary cartons and supplies at various workstations.
• Organize all shipping warehouse bays.
• Clean all trash, debris, and other waste from the shipping warehouse area on a daily basis.
• Keep inventory levels of available stock at appropriate levels.
• Count and maintain stock for each SKU in the shipping area.
• Communicate restocking needs for any depleted SKUs to the Operations Manager.
• Maintain proper rotation of all SKUs in the shipping area.
• Utilize FIFO (First In, First Out) to restock floor stock from racks as items are depleted.
• Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to incorporate any overages from pre-built stock on the LTL (Less Than Truckload) wholesale side of the warehouse.
• Ensure that all restock pallets from the kitchen are properly labeled to maintain FIFO.
• Work with the office to ensure all wholesale and retail shipments are prepared and shipped correctly each day.
• Handle all wholesale shipments according to established standards.
• Handle all retail shipments according to established standards.
• Complete and file all paperwork required for both wholesale and retail shipments.
• Finish all closing paperwork required for wholesale and retail shipments.
• Maintain and complete all required inventory counts, both monthly and during full inventory counts.
• Complete all cycle counts as assigned.
• Ensure all counts for full inventory are completed according to standards and within established timelines.

Shift

Shipping currently runs Mon-Fri, 7AM-3:30PM, though there will be overtime and weekend needs as well.
