This role is focused on developing accurate, compliant, and well-structured cost and pricing proposals for change orders and contract modifications in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key part in supporting business operations by translating technical, financial, and regulatory inputs into clear pricing models that guide decision-making and contract execution. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure proposals meet federal acquisition standards while remaining responsive to dynamic customer requirements. The position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and comfort working under tight deadlines with multiple priorities. You will also contribute to improving pricing tools, templates, and processes while supporting knowledge sharing across the team. This is a highly collaborative role where precision, compliance, and adaptability directly impact business outcomes.
- Develop and prepare cost and price proposals for change orders and contract modifications of simple to medium complexity, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with internal estimating systems and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Operations, Business Development, and functional teams to gather inputs, build cost models, and produce structured pricing deliverables and supporting documentation.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of pricing outputs to ensure completeness, consistency, and compliance with solicitation requirements and applicable standards.
- Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of cost models, pricing templates, and analytical tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of proposal generation.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders and junior pricing team members, promoting consistency in pricing practices and adherence to best standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in cost proposal or financial analysis roles.
- Approximately 3 years of experience in cost proposal development, pricing analysis, or related finance functions, with flexibility for equivalent experience substitution.
- Strong understanding of proposal development processes, including basis of estimates (BOE), bills of materials (BOM), and cost modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong quantitative and analytical skills for building and validating financial models.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different organizational levels.
- Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to leverage emerging technologies, including AI tools, to improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Competitive compensation range of $75,000 to $94,000 USD annually.
