About Speed Xpress Inc.
Founded in 2022, SpeedX offers a superior last-mile delivery experience designed to better connect brands to customers. At SpeedX, we’re more than just a delivery company – we’re partners in success. We believe that ecommerce delivery shouldn’t be a hassle, a financial strain, or a source of stress for businesses. We created a next-level delivery experience that’s designed to meet business's needs, exceed their expectations, and future-proof their ecommerce business.
In just three years of business, we have grown our client list to over a dozen online marketplaces, 3PLs and direct retailers and are now delivering over 300,000 packages daily worldwide – with the number constantly growing. And we have no plans of slowing down.
About the role:
SpeedX delivers reliable, tech-enabled last-mile solutions by expertly integrating our proprietary network with regional carriers. Our success is built on precision, scalability, and the quality of every single delivery. We are hiring a meticulous and resilient Quality Assurance/Control (QA/QC) Specialist to ensure that every parcel leaving our facilities meets SpeedX’s rigorous standards before it hits the last mile. We are looking for a dedicated QA/QC Specialist to be the frontline guardian of our service standards.
This role requires a unique blend of floor presence, deep system investigation, and customer-facing communication. You will be the expert responsible for identifying, documenting, and resolving operational exceptions, ensuring data integrity from the physical sorting bin to the customer's receipt. This role operates at the intersection of the warehouse floor, our core systems, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities & Quality Focus
Floor-Based Quality Control & Parcel Separation
- Physical Quality Audits: Conduct regular, systematic checks on parcels on the sorting line, staging areas, and loading docks to ensure proper labeling, packaging integrity, and adherence to handling protocols.
- Exception Identification & Segregation: Become the expert in physically separating and isolating exception parcels (e.g., damaged, mis-sorted, incorrect documentation, weight discrepancies).
- SOP Compliance & Process Adherence: Monitor and enforce compliance with all established warehouse sorting and handling Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across various shifts.
System-Level Exception Handling & Investigation
- Deep System Dive: Utilize our ERP/POS systems to investigate the root cause of every physical exception found on the floor or reported via tracking.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct detailed analysis on shipment failures, data entry errors, or sorting mistakes to pinpoint exactly where the process broke down (e.g., Was it a data entry error, a system misconfiguration, or a physical sorting mistake?).
- Data Correction: Execute necessary corrections within our core systems after physical verification, ensuring system records accurately reflect the final disposition of an exception parcel.
Customer Communication & Resolution
- Customer Liaison: Serve as a direct point of contact for escalated customer inquiries specifically related to package exceptions (e.g., delayed status, missing information, failed delivery attempts).
- Clear & Professional Communication: Communicate complex operational issues to customers in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner, providing timely status updates and resolution timelines.
- Operational Feedback Loop: Systematically relay recurring customer communication issues back to Operations and Data teams to inform larger process improvements.
Requirements
- Must be physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods (up to a full shift) on a warehouse floor environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail is non-negotiable, particularly when verifying small parcel details, tracking numbers, and addresses.
- Proficiency in using basic computer hardware (scanners, tablets) and essential office software, including Microsoft Excel for basic data logging and reporting.
- A strong willingness and ability to learn our proprietary ERP/POS systems quickly through dedicated training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degrees.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or parcel sortation environment.
- Fluency in a second language (Bilingual in Chinese/Spanish) is a strong asset for internal team collaboration and customer support, though not required.
The pay range for this role is:
50,000 - 55,000 USD per year(IAH)
