Position Title: Senior Accountant
Position Duties:
- Maintain balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
- Support tax and regulatory filings.
- Monitor internal controls.
- Reconciliations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Streamline systems and processes to automate manual accounting functions.
- Annual audits and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Liaise with internal/external auditors, tax accountants, and regulatory teams.
- Manage banking settlements.
- Compute regulatory requirements for 15c3-3 Reserve Calculation.
- Compute and monitor RAC levels for Canadian broker dealer.
- Month-end closing process, reconciling accounts, booking closing entries, and analyzing fluctuations.
- Prepare customer reserve calculations for future and brokerage customers.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 6 months as Accountant or Accounting Associate
- 6-month experience in accounting analysis & financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, preparing budgets, month-end reporting
- 6-month use of Microsoft Office, Oracle ERP
Work Hours: 40 hours per week; M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Rate of Pay: $97,406.00 per year
