Job Description
About Plexus
Legal protects 90% of enterprise value. In most organisations, it’s still slow, expensive, and stretched impossibly thin — one lawyer for every 500 employees. Nine out of ten legal tasks go unsupported.
Plexus is the Legal Operating System for the modern enterprise. We help in-house legal teams automate and scale legal work across the business — faster, with less cost, and less risk.
We’re trusted by Coca-Cola, Nike, L’Oréal, PepsiCo, Woolworths, and Asahi. Our clients report 65% productivity gains.
We’re not a law firm. We’re not a traditional software company. We’re building something new — and we’re not done yet.
At Plexus, you'll own a portfolio of enterprise clients from week one — advising marketing teams at brands like Coca-Cola, L'Oréal, and PepsiCo on trade promotions, advertising compliance, and campaign approvals. Your name on the advice. Your relationship to build.
What you'll actually do:
- You'll be the first point of contact for your clients. Not a back-office drafter. Not a research assistant. The person their marketing team calls when a campaign needs to launch on Friday and the T&Cs aren't right yet.
- That means reviewing trade promotions, advising on advertising law and competition and consumer law issues, managing client queries at pace, and building the kind of relationships where clients actively ask for you by name.
- The Quality & Review Lead has your back on quality. But the work — and the client — is yours.
AI isn't a side project here — it's how we practise law.
- Plexus is redefining how legal work gets done. 94% of our people use AI daily. As a Junior Lawyer here, AI is embedded in everything — first-pass drafting, research, precedent analysis, quality checks.
- This matters because it means you'll handle a client portfolio that would be impossible in a traditional firm at your level. AI gives you the leverage. Your judgment and client instincts make it count.
- If you're already using AI to draft, research, and review — and you did that on your own initiative, not because someone made you — you'll thrive here. If you're curious about AI but haven't started yet, that's not enough. We want people who've already changed how they work.
What we're looking for:
- 0–2 years PQE — competition and consumer law, advertising and marketing law, or commercial/regulatory all a bonus!
- Already using AI tools in your legal work — self-initiated, not firm-directed
- Exposure to trade promotions, advertising compliance, or campaign review is a strong signal
- Genuinely client-facing — comfortable on a call, responsive, and able to build trust with senior stakeholders without a senior lawyer in the room
- Commercially wired — you understand that your job is to find the way through, not just flag the risk
What we're not looking for:
- Someone who wants to hide behind research memos for two years before seeing a client
- Someone who treats AI as a threat or a gimmick rather than the biggest career advantage of their generation
- Someone who gives advice that blocks a campaign without offering a path forward
- Someone who isn't ready to own outcomes
What you get:
- Real client ownership at a company trusted by the world's most recognisable brands.
- A front-row seat to how AI is transforming legal delivery — and the skills to be years ahead of your peers because of it.
- A clear path from Junior Lawyer to Senior Lawyer, Marketing Suite lead, or broader legal consulting — earned through delivery, not tenure.
- The AI skills you build here compound fast. A junior lawyer who masters AI-augmented legal delivery at Plexus will be years ahead of peers still doing things the traditional way.
