We are growing and looking to add a Inventory Point of Use (POU) Stocking Specialist to our team. This is a 1st Shift role; Monday - Friday 07:00am - 03:30pm
Job Summary
The Inventory Point of Use (POU) Stocking Specialist is responsible for the daily organization, stocking, replenishment, and inventory control of Point of Use (POU) parts and materials. This role supports inventory accuracy, product availability, and operational efficiency through effective stock management, inventory audits, and material handling activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Receive, handle, and transport inventory with care to prevent damage and maintain product quality
· Stock and organize parts and components in designated locations according to established procedures
· Maintain inventory using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory management method
· Replenish stock levels and restock shelves, bins, and aisles as needed to ensure product availability
· Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and quantity verification activities to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
· Ensure all parts and materials are returned to their proper storage locations after use.
· Report inventory shortages, stock issues, or discrepancies to the Supervisor in a timely manner
· Assist with loading and unloading parts, materials, and inventory from company vehicles.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards
· Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines; immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, or equipment concerns to management
· Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Previous inventory, warehouse, stocking, or materials management experience preferred
· Basic understanding of inventory control principles and stock rotation practices
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
· Ability to accurately read part numbers, labels, and inventory documentation
· Experience using barcode scanners, handheld devices, or inventory management software preferred
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Basic computer and inventory management system skills preferred
· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials in accordance with job requirements
Mathematical Skills:
· Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including counting, measuring, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
· Ability to accurately use calculators, scales, and other measuring devices
· Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
· Ability to identify and resolve routine inventory discrepancies
Physical Demands:
· Frequently lifts and moves materials weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
· Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the work area
· Frequently uses hands and arms to handle, carry, and position materials
· Occasionally required to sit for extended periods while performing administrative tasks
· Requires close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment:
· Noise level is usually moderate for a manufacturing plant
