Description:

The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to eradicating homelessness amongst our veterans.

The Analyst position is responsible for managing and overseeing the payment workflow of the National Case Management Network in support of veteran housing stability initiatives. This role serves as a liaison between internal departments and external vendors to ensure that all transactions—including internal payment requests, credit card reconciliations, and vendor payments—are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with grant and budget requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the National Case Management Network process for submitting requests for payment issued to support Veteran housing stability.
  • Collect, review, and submit internal payment request forms from the National Case Management Network team to the Finance department ensuring accuracy and completeness of all billing and payable information.
  • Prepare quarterly reports to track internal program spending and provide analytics regarding program spending and trends.
  • Prepare monthly credit card reconciliations, categorize assistance types for budget, and grant management.
  • Manage external vendor payment processes, including timely submission of invoices, folios, and receipts, and ensuring prompt payment to vendors, such as those for veteran emergency housing.
  • Manage day-to-day troubleshooting and payment tracking issues that arise.
  • Act as an intradepartmental courier to pick and drop off any urgent payment documentation.
  • Attend National case Management Network team meetings.
  • Provide administrative tasks that will include email and phone correspondence, maintaining files and spreadsheets, and data entry.
  • Perform all other duties assigned as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of 3 years’ administrative experience.
  • Accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and design skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to multitask multiple projects and supervise personnel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of challenges faced by special populations, including mental health disabilities, low income, and homelessness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/ Google Suite (or equivalent).
  • Pre-employment screening, including a background check, is required.

Working conditions

Special working conditions may include: a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations) when participating and assisting in special events needed.
