The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The decision support analyst is a member of the Patient Experience Departments who is responsible for managing multiple databases and completing reports for internal, corporate, and other regulatory /accrediting agencies. The position supports all aspects of patient experience data collection and reporting.The position requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, Press Ganey, Verge and various internal system records,S/he prepares reports for various departmental meetings i.e. Board of Directors, Press Ganey scores, performance improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance for the hospitals Patient Experience Department and complaint and grievance processes.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Demonstrates expertise in computer programs, data management, analysis and reporting
  • Data visualization experience in Power BI, Tableau, or other similar platforms

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work on and manage various projects that help improve the daily functions of departments within the hospital, and improve outcomes
  • Report to the Manager and the Director of Patient Experience to discuss and carry out sustainable solutions
  • Serves as resource for data entry and validation
  • Defines approved metric data sources (electronic and manual processes) and establishes validation processes
  • Develops process for automated data feeds as feasible
  • Researches, reports and facilitates benchmarking with best practice facilities
  • Educates all levels of staff enabling them to understand data and potential to improve reporting processes
  • Assists in the preparation of external surveys of hospital performance
  • Mines data and creates report formats in clinical and financial systems to assist end users meet information needs,
  • Be involved the Patient and Family Advisory Committee that has been put together to help improve the hospital, and be educated from a patients perspective as to what the hospital can do differently, for improvement efforts
  • Support Quality Team with any HRO initiatives such as mapping, data analysis, root cause, common cause, and apparent cause analysis
  • Ensure sharing and adoption of best practices across RWJUH
