About the role

The Contracts & Procurement Coordinator is responsible for reviewing customer contracts and purchase orders, ensuring full compliance with NQA-1 (Nuclear Quality Assurance) requirements, and executing procurement activities in accordance with approved procedures. This role ensures complete flow-down of contractual, technical, and quality requirements to suppliers and internal stakeholders while maintaining strict adherence to nuclear quality assurance standards.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance, ensuring material traceability, and supporting the end-to-end order fulfillment process from contract review through delivery.

What you'll do

  • Review customer purchase orders and contracts to ensure compliance with NQA-1, regulatory, and internal requirements prior to acceptance
  • Ensure complete and accurate flow-down of all contractual, technical, and quality requirements to suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Execute procurement activities in accordance with approved suppliers, procedures, and nuclear quality assurance program requirements
  • Verify supplier certifications, documentation, and quality records for compliance prior to issuance of purchase orders
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, Engineering, Operations, and Sales to resolve discrepancies, clarify requirements, and support contract execution
  • Maintain controlled procurement records, contract files, and traceability documentation in compliance with quality program requirements
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery status, and compliance to ensure timely and conforming material delivery
  • Support internal and external audits, surveillances, and customer evaluations by providing complete procurement and contract documentation
  • Ensure proper control and communication of contract changes, revisions, and customer notifications in accordance with procedures
  • Ensure professionalism and exceptional customer service during all interactions.
  • Regular and sustained attendance.
  • Adherence to Associate Handbook and other relevant Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate adherence to our “Eastern Fundamentals” at all times.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Experience in procurement, contracts administration, supply chain, or quality-related functions; Familiarity with nuclear quality assurance requirements (NQA-1 preferred) or other highly regulated industries (aerospace, defense, energy); Strong understanding of purchase order review, contract interpretation, and supplier management; Ability to manage multiple priorities in a compliance-driven environment; Strong attention to detail with emphasis on documentation accuracy and traceability; Effective communication skills for coordination across internal teams and external suppliers.
