About the role

We're looking for a Manager, Lead Generation & Retention to own subscription retention strategy and lifecycle execution. Reporting to the VP of eCommerce, this role is built for a data-driven operator who can turn customer behavior signals into high-performing journeys that grow LTV and keep subscribers engaged long-term. You'll reduce churn, extend subscriber tenure, and increase lifetime value through intelligent segmentation, flow strategy, and rigorous analytics. You work closely with Brand, Product, Performance, and Creative teams and own the outcomes: retention rates, subscriber LTV, and the programs that move them.

What you'll do

Retention & Subscription Strategy

  • Own retention and subscription lifecycle strategy across email and SMS, from onboarding through renewal and win-back
  • Design and continuously optimize subscriber journeys that reduce churn, extend subscription tenure, and increase LTV
  • Build and manage cancel-save and pause flows, loyalty-driven engagement programs, and reactivation campaigns tailored to subscriber cohorts
  • Partner with Product and Brand leadership to align lifecycle programs with subscription growth goals and seasonal initiatives

Analytics & Insights

  • Own the retention analytics framework: define KPIs, build dashboards, and deliver weekly and monthly reporting on subscriber health, churn drivers, and LTV trends
  • Conduct cohort analysis to identify at-risk segments and uncover LTV expansion opportunities
  • Design and interpret A/B and multivariate tests with clear hypotheses and statistical rigor, and translate results into actionable roadmap decisions
  • Proactively surface insights to Brand and Performance leadership: not just what happened, but why and what to do next

Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Manage campaign calendars, testing roadmaps, and prioritization
  • Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and creative partners to deliver on-brand, conversion-focused lifecycle content
  • Work with email developers and QA specialists to ensure high-quality, scalable execution
  • Ensure all programs meet best practices around deliverability, compliance, and subscriber data usage
  • Contribute to shared lifecycle standards and playbooks across the portfolio

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years in lifecycle, retention, or CRM, preferably subscription-focused
  • Proven track record of reducing churn and growing subscriber LTV
  • Strong command of analytics: owns dashboards, runs cohort analyses, and presents data-backed recommendations to leadership
  • Hands-on experience building and managing email and SMS programs end to end
  • Deep understanding of subscription model dynamics: recurring revenue, cancel-save flows, renewal optimization, and lifecycle-driven upsell
  • Experience with segmentation, journey mapping, and multivariate testing at scale
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency with ESP/CRM platforms (Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar) and analytics tools (Looker, Amplitude, or similar)
  • A proactive, organized operator who owns outcomes

Benefits / Perks

We believe in recognizing and rewarding our employees for a job well done. We offer growth potential for motivated individuals, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance
  • 401K Retirement Plan
  • Paid Vacation Time
  • Paid Holidays
  • and More!

The pay range for this role is:
110,000 - 145,000 USD per year(usa])
