Commerical Landscape Maintenance CREW Lead at ABC Scapes Inc. – Phoenix, Arizona

Overview:
A Crew Lead is responsible for managing a crew to maintain a portfolio of commercial properties, to perform all assigned tasks. To ensure all work is completed safely and timely, and that it meets quality and productivity expectations. A Crew Lead is responsible for ensuring proper use and care of the equipment they use at each job site. A Crew Lead reports tasks in real-time to Dispatch and is responsible for his crew’s time and work product.

This position requires a valid, insurable driver's license.

Qualifications:

• 1 years’ experience in landscape maintenance
• Arizona Driver License and clean MVR record
• Operate all pieces of equipment (i.e. weed eater, edger, blower, power, hand tools, rider etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret basic property maps
• Ability to report/update in real-time via electronic tablet work order

Essential Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Manage the crew to achieve the plan outlined for the day, hold crew members accountable and prioritize tasks in a changing environment
• Performing landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, blowing, bed grooming.
• Maintain crew truck (check PSI, oil daily), equipment and tools.
• Safe operation and appropriate use of tools and equipment including company vehicles.
• Use required personal protective gear/equipment necessary to perform the job.
• Work in a safe manner to protect customer's property from damage by equipment or flying debris.
• Properly mark and rope off any open holes or hazards to protect residents from getting hurt.
• Communicating all comments, inquiries, account status to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Utilizing Company technology to communicate with Operations Manager and Dispatch.
• Always follow company rules and procedures.

Landscape Maintenance Skills/Physical Demands:

Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with managers and employees. This is a physically demanding role requiring the employee to be able to:

• Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
• Reach over head
• Work in various positions including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.
• Lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete job tasks
• Lift 50 pounds of weight frequently though-out the workday
• Able to work under extreme and often adverse climatic conditions

Qualifications:

• 1 years’ experience in landscape maintenance

Compensation is $20.00 per hour DOE to start with room for advancement.
