Employment Type: Full-Time | Flexible Schedule Required

Position Overview:

The Marriott Phoenix Chandler is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Inspector to join our dynamic Housekeeping Team. This key role supports the Director of Rooms and the Assistant Housekeeping Manager in the daily operations and leadership of the department, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with opening Housekeeping operations, including preparing daily Room Attendant assignment boards.
  • Inspect guest rooms (both checkouts and occupied) to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house workspaces.
  • Promptly report maintenance issues to the Engineering department.
  • Respond to and expedite special guest requests (e.g., extra towels, blankets, pillows).
  • Support team development through coaching and performance feedback.
  • Ensure Room Attendants and Housemen have the tools and supplies needed to perform their duties.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to housekeeping staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.


Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hotel of similar size and quality.
  • Familiarity with PMS systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of hotel housekeeping policies, especially safety and security standards.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move continuously for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be comfortable inspecting rooms across all hotel floors and working in laundry/back-of-house areas as needed.
  • Clear, direct communication skills with a positive attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide clear instruction and constructive feedback to team members.
