Accounting Assistant at IB Builders – Kinston, North Carolina

Join our growing team! We are a GC specializing in restaurant and gas station new construction and remodels.

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant with expertise in the construction field to join our office team. Must have an excellent attitude and be eager to grow! This position is frequently fast-paced and demanding, requiring great flexibility and problem-solving skills. This is an office position, working side by side with upper management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Follow existing Standard Operating Procedures to achieve AP Dept. Goals in a timely and accurate manner

Assist staff in Reviewing vendor files and billings for accuracy and completion

Communicate with vendors and subcontractors

Work with internal and external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting

-Must have experience in the construction industry, whether with a GC or Sub, in an administrative or operational capacity

-Experienced in Sage Contractors Edition

-Experienced with AIA Progress Billings, Change orders, and Excel

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-A strong degree of flexibility is required to accommodate management as business needs and plans can change

-Strong attention to detail & organizational skills- thoroughness and accuracy are incredibly important

-Experience in a construction office or any trade is a plus.

-Proficiency assessment will be given during your interview
