Journeyman Millwright in Birmingham, Alabama at D7 PNEUMATICS LLC

D7 Industrial is looking for experienced millwrights to join our team of skilled trades people. Working in the shop as well as in the field at set outages.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule execution of field maintenance

Identify field maintenance needs with the Lead Operator; assist in the development of preventative maintenance plans, procedures and schedules

Ensure Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans, procedures and schedules in place and followed.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of and planning for facility downtime.

Perform Day-to-Day maintenance related activities, includes repair, maintenance, services on rotating and stationary surface equipment

Trouble shoot and find resolution to problems

Utilize the Record Keeping system and ensure proper documentation

Engage third party contactors (when required) and organize and manage their day to day duties

Assist operators in field related tasks as required or directed by the Lead Operator, Foreman or

Superintendent

Experience with PLC programming or PDC knowledge would be an asset

Identify optimization techniques to increase production and/or reduce downtime

Ensure accurate and timely capture of field costs and participate in operating cost reduction initiatives.

Assist with inventory management for area, ensuring adequate local availability of critical part inventory, source equipment for performing maintenance tasks in accordance with procurement procedures.

Support all regulatory compliance programs as required

Qualifications:

Require mechanical journeyman ticket or applicable experience to be proficient in Mechanical

Skills to fill Maintenance role

Valid Class 5 driver’s license;

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, strong mechanical trouble shooting/problem solving skills

Positive team player that can work in a remote area with individual attributes including excellent communication and interperson skills

Safety conscious

Required to maintain all safety and regulatory courses site specific to area needs
