Emergency Caseworker in West Plains, Missouri at Ozarks Healthcare

This position acts as a liaison among inpatient, outpatient, and emergency departments to provide case management services to patients with serious mental health illnesses. Linking to community services and promoting wellness and stability will be the primary outcome for patients interacting with the emergency caseworker.

• Will respond to urgent non-suicidal mental health needs of patients who present to OZH or the Behavioral Healthcare clinic
• Act as a liaison between OZH emergency room, Neuropsychiatric unit, and Behavioral Healthcare
• Meet with clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings to provide help in accessing public services such as: financial assistance, housing, emergency services, and food
• May be called on to use clinical skills to perform psychoeducation groups as needed at the Neuropsychiatric unit and/or Behavioral Healthcare.
• Attend and represent BHC during daily Neuropsychiatric Unit staffings, assisting in the establishment of timelines, goals, and service plans for clients
• Interface with outside community agencies to educate in regards to mental health crises, treatments, services available, and other requested education opportunities

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or other related field
