Job Title: Business Development Manager

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion of our behavioral health programs, including degree programs, continuing education, professional studies, and corporate training initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mental health education and a proven track record in developing strategic partnerships, identifying market opportunities, and increasing program enrollment across various educational formats.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

● Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with healthcare organizations, community mental health centers, corporations, and other relevant institutions to create pipelines for student recruitment, program placement, and corporate training contracts.

● Represent the university at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote all behavioral health educational offerings.

● Develop and implement strategies to increase enrollment in behavioral health programs across undergraduate, graduate, continuing education, and professional studies levels. ● Support the creation and expansion of corporate training programs in behavioral health for organizations, tailoring offerings to meet specific industry needs.

● Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to inform program development and marketing strategies for both traditional academic programs and professional education offerings.

● Collaborate with faculty, administration, and industry experts to ensure programs meet industry needs, maintain academic excellence, and provide practical, up-to-date training. ● Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and materials for behavioral health programs, including continuing education and corporate training initiatives. ● Manage and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including potential students, alumni, corporate clients, agencies, and industry partners.

● Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to program growth, success, and revenue generation across all educational formats.

● Contribute to grant writing and respond to RFPs to support program expansion and business development opportunities.

● Stay informed about changes in behavioral health regulations, licensure requirements, and industry best practices to ensure all programs remain current and relevant.

● Develop pricing strategies for continuing education and corporate training programs to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

● Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

● Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in higher education, healthcare sectors, or corporate training

● Strong understanding of the behavioral health field, current industry trends, and continuing education landscape

● Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop new program ideas and revenue streams ● Proven track record of achieving growth targets and developing successful partnerships, including experience with corporate clients

● Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

● Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions

● Experience with CRM systems, learning management systems, and data analysis tools ● Strong project management and organizational skills

● Familiarity with adult learning principles and corporate training methodologies ● Ability to travel when needed and availability to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
