Operational Responsibilities

• Review payables to determine location they belong to.

• Reference payables and compare to quotes listed in each file.

• Identifies errors/omissions and resolves with relevant parties by sending for approval

• Verify legitimacy of charges by calculating days container is outstanding by cost per day.

• Enter charges from payables and invoice additional charges as needed into corresponding files.

• Copy payable emails into appropriate folders listed by pay date ensuring documents are uploaded and correctly labeled.

• Once selected and printed assembles payables and verifies amounts correspond to remittance.

• Move all remitted payables into folders sorted by vendor name.

• Mail all payables on a timely basis

• Respond to any vendor inquires as to outstanding payables.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• A good grasp of the terminology and concepts of related equipment and logistics.

• Understanding of international transportation pricing practices and associated administration

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• proven ability to understand how money is managed between overseas agents, ocean carriers, terminals, drayage companies and clients

• Experience working in a fast paced, team oriented, deadline driven department

• Problem solving experience and confidence to challenge status quo

• Computer literacy and strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills

• Time management skills

• A degree in business or finance is seen as an advantage

Salary range: $40,000 depending on experience
