Operational Responsibilities
Review payables to determine location they belong to.
Reference payables and compare to quotes listed in each file.
Identifies errors/omissions and resolves with relevant parties by sending for approval
Verify legitimacy of charges by calculating days container is outstanding by cost per day.
Enter charges from payables and invoice additional charges as needed into corresponding files.
Copy payable emails into appropriate folders listed by pay date ensuring documents are uploaded and correctly labeled.
Once selected and printed assembles payables and verifies amounts correspond to remittance.
Move all remitted payables into folders sorted by vendor name.
Mail all payables on a timely basis
Respond to any vendor inquires as to outstanding payables.
Key Skills and Qualifications
A good grasp of the terminology and concepts of related equipment and logistics.
Understanding of international transportation pricing practices and associated administration
Strong written and verbal communication skills
proven ability to understand how money is managed between overseas agents, ocean carriers, terminals, drayage companies and clients
Experience working in a fast paced, team oriented, deadline driven department
Problem solving experience and confidence to challenge status quo
Computer literacy and strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Time management skills
A degree in business or finance is seen as an advantage

Salary range: $40,000 depending on experience
